The Powerpuff Girls Return to Cartoon Network!

Yes, folks! Believe it or not, The Powerpuff Girls are finally returning to Cartoon Network!
I know! I can't believe it either! :D Anywho, Crunchyroll and numerous other sources have made it quite clear that the PPG are INDEED being revamped for a brand new CG special due to air sometime later on this year. How exciting is that?!

Pictured above is a preview of what the girls will look like in this special.
Luckily for us hard-core fans all of the original cast will be returning for this production so there shouldn't be any of those, "Hey, wait a minute!" moments like when one of your favorite characters suddenly sounds "mysteriously" different. That can be such a pain. >.<"

Tara Strong, the voice of Bubbles, made sure to Tweet about the news:

The new special will also feature an original song called “I Wish I Was A Powerpuff Girl” performed by none other than the legendary Ringo Starr of The Beatles
Mr. Starr will also play a character role as Townsville's most famous flamboyant mathematician, "Fibonacci Sequins".
(Haha. Fibonacci Sequins = Fibonacci Sequence, get it?)

In the past there have been some pretty awesome PPG-themed songs.
For example:

So I'm really looking forward to hearing how this one turns out!

Not only are they creating a new PPG special, but Cartoon Network will also be airing a new Teen Titans series called Teen Titans GO!

The article on Crunchyroll reads:
"Featuring the return of Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg in all-new, comedic adventures, Teen Titans Go! will premiere in April 2013. Character-driven comedy is the order of the day as this new take on the superhero series focuses on the funny business that happens between saving the world and living together as teenagers without adult supervision. The series stars the principal voice cast from the original Teen Titans, and is produced by Warner Bros. Animation."
Speaking as a fan of both series, TT & The PPG, I am very excited to see where these new projects will go and how they will turn out. On the other hand I am also quite nervous about it. With both shows having been off the air for such a long time, it's hard to tell whether or not these new additions will live up to the standards that have been set by their predecessors. Both of these new projects will be using rather different styles than what we fans are used to and that could either be a good or a bad thing, it's hard to tell just yet but for now we'll all just have to sit back and play the "waiting game". Hopefully we'll be left wanting more, rather than being disappointed. (>.<)"

I'll most likely be blogging about a few of the other shows later on...
(Adventure Time & Regular Show - OHHHHH!!!) ;D
So be sure to check back later for those blogs as well!
Thanks for reading!
